In 1948, the first Porsche to officially carry the Porsche name and logo was built. Dubbed the Porsche 356, or the “Gmund Roadster”, the vehicle was powered by a 1.1-liter air-cooled flat-four engine. Easy to recognize from its two-piece windscreen divided by a center bar, the 356 served as the influence for many Porsche models to come. Join the Petersen as we celebrate all things Early Modern Porsche! From the Type 64 to the 356 to the 904, enjoy strolling through rows of early modern Porsches.
