The Tesla Roadster will be exclusively shown at The Petersen May 19 - June 2nd
It pays to be an Angeleno. Not only do we get the great weather and an abundance of car culture throughout the year - we can pop over to The Petersen and be among the first to see the Tesla Roadster.

Elon Musk, fresh off hosting Saturday Night Live,...
Well, maybe really not that fresh, as the skits he was in (and that seemed like all of them) dragged pointlessly and his cue card reading sucked really B-A-D … His "excuse" (as if he needed one?) was that he has Asperger Syndrome - which for those paying attention to pretty much all of our modern-day ultra-entrepreneurs should come as no surprise - seems to make sense.
... has now gotten us all up to speed on the Tesla Roadster that was hinted at back in 2017 at the Tesla Semi introduction.
Tesla Roadster
The new Roadster - which we hope they will call the "Model Roadster" to fit with their naming strategy - is as sleek and fast as you can get. The promise of a top speed of 250 miles per hour(!!!) and the ability to get you from a standing start to 60mph in under 2 seconds(!!!) is pretty impressive - as is the promise that you can “...travel 620 miles on a full charge of its fully electric battery”. Although we doubt you can experiecne all three on a single charge..
The Bigger News
Tesla Roadster Exclusively Shown At Petersen Automotive Museum
That's all great... But would you believe that the even bigger news is that the Petersen Museum - right here on Wilshire (near the Miracle Mile) in good old Los Angeles - will have one of these soon-to-be-highly-coveted, expensive, and hard-to-come-by two-door beasts on display? Right there at their big red-striped digs on the corner of Wilshire and Fairfax from May 19th through June 2nd, 2021.
Now that is something any true gearhead won't wanna miss..! (Actually, it's probably something anyone with just a mild interest in cars will want to see).
Note that guests who would like to view the Tesla Roadster prototype (and visit the museum) must purchase tickets in advance on the Petersen Automotive Museum website.
Covid Information: Health and safety guidelines are being followed: face coverings are required (single-use face masks will be provided to those who do not have one); social distancing guidelines of at least six feet will be enforced with designated entrance and exit signs; hand sanitizing stations are available on each floor; and the museum has increased the frequency of routine cleaning.
