... And besides a great car collection - many of which can be driven by visitors on weekends - the Automobile Driving Museum (ADM) now rolls up to the curb on Lairport Street out in El Segundo just a few blocks over from LAX with a steamin’ hot night of cool swing dancing.
The blend is manifestly mellow ... A warm August eve, a live band (the salubrious Swing Tones), a sultry girl singer (the ever-captivating Antonia Bennett), friends, fans, don’t forget the cool cars, some savory local speciality food trucks ... and even dance lessons (which flat out blows your excuse for not going ... Clyde).
So Julie, Jimmy: let me ask: what’s not to like here?
Penney loafers, bobby socks, butch wax, rolled cuff Levi’s, duck butts, Sen-sen, short skirts, and big hair bows are all optional here - but really, really cool, kids.
You figured it out, right? La La land is not just a movie girls and boys.
