The “Under the Hood” series by the Mullin Museum dives into the engines that power some legendary cars such as this week’s star: the Bugatti EB 110 SS Le Mans.
The fabulous Mullin Automotive Museum boasts an expansive collection of the finest vehicles on Earth. Located in Oxnard, the Mullin Museum has had to adapt to the challenges brought by COVID-19. “Under the Hood” is a chance for viewers to learn about their favorite cars from home.
“Under the Hood” is a five-part series debuting on the Mullin Museum’s YouTube channel, and the first episode was uploaded on July 24. A new episode will air every Friday at 12 p.m. PT until the final edition on August 21, 2020.
The first episode is a comprehensive look at the heart of the 1994 Bugatti EB 110 Supersport Le Mans. Behind the driver rumbles a 3.5L quad-turbo V12, and this particular EB 110 puts down 700 horsepower, all while getting 20 mpg!
Following episodes will feature the 1937 Talbot-Lago T150-C-SS “Goutte d’Eau” (July 31), the 1938 Dubonnet Hispano-Suiza H6B “Xenia” (August 7), the 1934 Avions Voisin Type C27 Grand Sport Roadster (August 14) and the 1931 Bugatti Type 50S (August 21).
“We are excited to debut our new ‘Under the Hood’ series and YouTube channel,” said Mullin Automotive Museum Founder and Executive Director Peter Mullin. “Digital content serves as an important tool to allow enthusiasts around the world to enjoy our collection and hopefully inspire them to one day visit the cars in person.”
