Torqued: SPOCOM Goes Domestic

What’s more patriotic than a collection of (mostly) domestic modern muscle cars? Import heavyweight SPOCOM branches out into the ‘Merican Muscle movement.
It’s been a busy month here at LA Car with tons of events and cars to cover. Late last month we were invited to cover SPOCOM USA’s latest creation: Torqued.
SPOCOM has been a mover and shaker in the event space over the last dozen years. The company holds five events in California, Hawaii, and Texas. They have their finger on the pulse, and said finger has registered the strong modern muscle scene.
As you can see from the gallery below, the inaugural Torque had plenty of Camaros, Mustangs, Chargers, and Challengers (oh my!) on hand. I was pleasantly surprised by the creativity and cohesiveness of many of the builds. There was certainly an aeronautical theme with my two favorite being a Mustang painted as a (you guessed it) P-51 Mustang and a very cool Camaro replete with Memphis Belle painting and victory tallies.
Judging from SPOCOM’s success in previous spaces, you’d be wise to keep an eye on the Torqued show as it grows and is introduced throughout the southwest.
