The 2020 Shelby GT350 and GT350R models are available with the Heritage Edition Package, which features that throwback white with blue stripes.
Before Ken Miles was blazing around Le Mans in the Ford GT40, he was making headlines in another car. On February 14, 1965, Miles crossed the finish line at Green Valley Raceway, Texas in first place. The victory was impressive, but the car he drove caught everyone’s attention: the first 1965 Mustang Shelby GT350 fastback coupe. The classic white with blue stripes ushered that first GT350 into legendary status.
Ford has now announced that the 2020 Shelby GT350 and GT350R models will have the Heritage Edition Package available. The iconic color scheme is identified as Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue side and over-the-top racing stripes. The Heritage Edition also comes with a few unique badges on the front and rear of the car, as well as a special badge on the interior dash. GT350R models will be equipped with all-black seats accented by red stitching.
I’m always a fan of manufacturers putting together a throwback homage to their earlier masterpieces. I think it’s very important to remember where it all started, and the Heritage Edition Package is an ideal way to embody the DNA of Shelby, as that original GT350 is immortally famous.
The Heritage Edition Package slaps on an extra $1,965 to the below MSRP prices, and dealers are taking orders now since the cars ship in the spring of 2020.
2020 Shelby GT350: starting at $60,440 plus taxes, title, delivery and license fees.
