The 4th Downtown Burbank Car Classic rolled into Downtown Burbank with celebrity vehicles from the Petersen Automotive Museum, the Television Motion Picture Car Club, and custom cars from the World Famous West Coast Customs. In addition, there were restored and pre-1974 cars, exotics, and hot rods spanning four blocks. Continuous music, chalk artists, and automotive-related vendors rounded off activities at this outdoor street festival.
The Red Carpet Expo, dedicated to cars from film and television, featured vehicles from the Petersen Automotive Museum collection, including the MACH 5 Speed Racer Prototype depicted in the 1967 animated television series and movie, the Honda S2000 driven in the opening sequence of 2 Fast 2 Furious, and the Volkswagen New Beetle “Shagmobile” from Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
The Downtown Burbank Car Classic occupied San Fernando Boulevard from Magnolia Boulevard to Angeleno Avenue. The Red Carpet Expo was located on San Fernando Boulevard between Olive and Angeleno Avenues. LA Car was there to capture the event in all the proper megapixels, LUX units and frame rates.
