Petersen Automotive Museum Offers Vault Photography Tours

The Petersen Automotive Museum announced today it will offer new Photography Vault Tours and Vehicle Photography Sessions. For the first time ever, visitors will be allowed to photograph some of the finest sports cars, collector cars, Hollywood movie cars, racecars and motorcycles in The Vault.
The museum will also offer Vehicle Photography Sessions, which will provide guests with the opportunity to have their own vehicle photographed by a professional in the Petersen’s photo studio, presented by Samy’s Camera. These special offerings will be available from Saturday, September 14 to Monday, September 30, 2019.

“This the perfect way for guests to experience the Petersen like never before,” said Petersen Automotive Museum Executive Director Terry L. Karges. “We’re proud to allow guests to capture their own piece of the Petersen legacy in these new and exciting ways.”
The new Photography Vault Tours will allow the public to document a selection of vehicles in a special 60- minute, docent-led tour. Purchase of a Photography Vault Tour ticket will also include one complimentary museum general admission pass and one complimentary parking pass. No tripods, large bags or children under 10 years old will be allowed on the tour while cameras must remain on lanyards at all times.
Guests receive museum-quality photographs of their own vehicles
The Petersen will offer guests the opportunity to receive museum-quality photographs of their own vehicles through exclusive Vehicle Photography Sessions. Sessions will include a 40-minute photography shoot in the Petersen’s photo cove with provided professional photographers, one museum general admission pass and one complimentary parking pass. Images will be professionally edited and delivered to ticket holders via email. Ticket holders will be responsible for all vehicle moving before, during and after the sessions.
