Hyundai Takes Us on a Few California Scenic Routes

Hyundai debuts a new five-part series that tours iconic National Parks in the Hyundai Kona Electric by taking the scenic route.
Do you ever get sick of your daily work commute? You probably take the same route each day to avoid heavy traffic or travel the most direct path. Perhaps you get tired of seeing monotonous gas stations, trash cans, and highway mile markers. For your next outdoor adventure, consider taking the scenic route.
Hyundai has announced Hyundai Highways, a five-part YouTube series that follows along with the all-electric Hyundai Kona on a tour of Western USA National Parks. Hyundai boasts that the Kona Electric can last for 258 miles on a single charge, all while producing no harmful emissions.
Hyundai Highways follows along with host Estaban Gast on an expedition to Big Sur, Death Valley, Sequoia, Yellowstone, and Grand Tetons National Parks in the Kona Electric. In each episode, Hyundai’s all-electric SUV drives along expansive roads, stunning scenery, historical landmarks, significant points of interest and tasty places to grab some food, all on a single charge.
“Road trips are top of mind for people seeking a socially distanced adventure and Hyundai Highways showcases some of America’s most scenic drives,” said Angela Zepeda, CMO, Hyundai Motor America. “The Hyundai Kona Electric has a 258-mile all-electric range, opening up the possibility for exploration with no emissions. We want the content series to inspire and provide a roadmap for people to create their own experiences through some of our most iconic national parks.”
There will be 5 episodes in total, debuting each week in July. The series wrapped up filming in October 2019.
