Have you ever lost your car in a parking lot? Well, you might lose this truck in the woods.
A little bit of camouflage goes a long way. A tad of green here, a splash of splotchy brown there, it adds up. Now you can buy a truck equipped with some realistic camo effects displayed in all sorts of places. After the success of the 2016 Siverado Realtree Edition, Chevrolet has released a new version for the 2021 Silverado.
“Silverado continues to offer customers more choice and capability where it counts,” said Bob Krapes, director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing. “Building on the popular Custom Trail Boss model, the new Realtree Edition offers hunting and fishing enthusiasts a truck perfectly matched to their passions.”
With the Realtree Edition equipped with the Trail Boss package, customers can expect to enjoy many features catered to their outdoor needs. These trucks will be produced with a 2-inch factory suspension lift and 20-inch black wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT On-Off Road Tires. The Realtree Edition will also includes the Z71 Off-Road Package, which boasts Hill Descent Control, skid plates, monotube Rancho® shocks, an AutoTrac® 2-speed transfer case and an automatic locking rear differential. Under the hood, the Realtree Edition comes equipped with the 5.3L V8 engine and six-speed transmission, but a 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque 6.2L V8 coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission is also available. That’ll just about get you through any kind of mud.
Customers will see Realtree camouflage graphics on the exterior of the truck, particularly on the rear panels and hood. Camo interior door trim, black rectangular dual-exhaust tips, all-weather floor liners and 4-inch black round assist steps are nice additions as well. The Realtree Edition is equipped with Silverado’s Durabed, 12 standard tie-downs and a high strength steel bed floor.
“Having worked closely with Chevrolet all these years, it’s great to see the team come out with the new 2021 Silverado Realtree Edition using our latest Timber pattern,” said Realtree designer and president, Bill Jordan. “You don’t realize how much goes into building a true performance truck until you look behind the scenes, and this new truck will mean so much to all outdoor enthusiasts.”
The 2021 Silverado Realtree Edition will be available in summer of 2020 with pricing information provided closer to release.
